I love all these threads when long-time farmers want to stop new farmers. I just wish i had an ecto everytime one was posted.

If so many ectos are droping why is it I have not seen anyone selling any for the past couple of days at least in LA, TOA or Kamadan. Both euro and Am districts.

Sure, I am all up for more people being able to afford obsidian, but the idea of ecto being under 1k gives me a shudder, and it will be. Ecto is the best judge of the economy and if it is low the ecomy is low. Preferably I would like a few days with no drops in UW because people will be buying ecto and shard from people and material traders rather than farming it.

We have had a full month of favor already and i didnt notice any big drops in the ecto price, its fine the way it is now.

And that ursan takes the cake at farming is just lame but then if i would go into that id have a 3 page long piece of text with all my rants on how i feel about ursan, not worth my time and no one would read it because it'll be to much to read.

Yeah really, WTF is up with all the greedy people all of a sudden, they just seem to sprout so fast, trying to keep everything to a certain elite... ectos and shards are relatively stable and more affordable now. Keep it this way IMHO.

Because "casuals" need ectos and the rich can spend ectos to bribe Prince Rurik and Master Togo to kill themselves whenever a casual player enters a mission

The amount of ectos/shards dropping in a full UW/FoW clear is already quite low. I don't see why you want to make them drop less.

Those areas and their drop rates weren't designed with ridiculously overpowered ursanway+consumables in mind. I totally agree on lowering drop rates for shards, ectos and gold items in hardmode (hm is not hard for imba ursan, nm has close to no gold drops). Lowering those to 50% of current rates would keep things balanced.

But there's a much better solution, just nerf ursan and consumables...

Ectos seem to have an artificial price floor of 4.2k. It has gone below that, but I think that was a glitch. They will never drop below 4,200 gold, so don't freak out.

If the reason for this wasn't so much "Wah, I can't play the game normally and get money, I need to farm EnS and need MOAR money... MOAR MUAHAHAHA!" I may be compelled to care.

As it's not, no... the drop rate is fine. And really, since people -- I'm guessing -- want the price to go up so they can sell what they farm... if the drop rate goes lower than it is now (which is total shit), what would you have to sell, eh?

what should be lowered is the amount of times(account based) you're allowed to enter said areas. not the drop rates.

like say, no more than...8 times per 12 hours? (now that we have perma favor). it'll create a nice uproar for the dual/solo'ers.

I mean..I can only farm 2k faction a day...
